Cable cars, Cuenca and countryside

What we got up to in the rest of Ecuador:

  • A downhill cycle ride to various waterfalls where you took rickety homemade cable cars across canyons to reach them (Banos)
Makeshift cable car
  • Wandered around a lovely colonial town with countless churches and stayed in the best hostel yet (Cuenca)
  • Spent days alternating between lazing in a hammock on our terrace or wandering around the goregous countryside where Jack got chased by a dog (Vilcabamba)
Hammock days

We then hopped on a nightbus to Peru, for our first land border crossing of the trip.
